Education

Scott Price earned his B.A. in Chemistry from Northwestern University and his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from UCSB. He then worked in the Analytical Sciences division at The Dow Chemical Company before returning to UCSB as a lecturer. Scott has done research in the areas of nanofabrication, surface science, catalysis, and energy storage. He currently teaches lecture courses in the general chemistry series and serves as a faculty coordinator for the 5th Grade Chemistry Outreach Program. Scott received the Academic Senate Distinguished Teaching Award in 2018.
