Current Research
My research has focused primarily on the development of new methods for using (PPh3) CuH catalytically for 1,4-reductions followed by transmetalations of the intermediate copper enolates. Diastereoselective formation of the biaryl portion of vancomycin is another ongoing project. Upon completion of my Ph.D., I will join Larry Overman's research group at the University of California at Irvine as a postdoctoral researcher.
