Siderophores

The transition metal composition of the ocean is unique with a relative abundance of Mo and V, and sparse in Fe. We are studying the mechanism of acquisition of iron, and other metals, by marine bacteria. We are investigating the types of siderophores produced by marine bacteria and various characteristics of these siderophores. Click the icons below to find out more!
