Molecular electronics aims to study the electronic properties of molecules. The lab main goal is to develop a new technique to measure the conduction of molecules and biomolecules in solution and in the solid state.
In conventional molecular electronics the electrons are supplied by an external power source connected to the bottom and upper leads. In the lab, we seek to establish a new way to provide electrons via redox reaction. Our goal is to study different molecules and biomolecules electronic properties and control with ease the number of molecules that are probed, without the need of complex fabrication techniques or destructive top contacts.
