Bio

Kevin is a third-year Chemistry major from Oxnard, California.  He joined SciTrek his first-year doing behind-the-scenes work.  He later started doing modules and has now joined us with the development team.  Kevin is in charge of updating and maintaining the SciTrek Website, and he keeps the internal organization of SciTrek at low entropy.  Kevin also works closely with the ASBMB Student Chapter here at UCSB in developing the first SciTrek high school module.  Come meet Kevin in the SciTrek lab every day from 6-8am!

Projects

-"The Ripening" - We are collaborating with the UCSB Student Chapter of the American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in order to develop the first SciTrek high school module.  The focus of the module is exploring how carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen from sugar molecules combined to build amino acids, proteins, lipids, and other large macromolecules.  This module addresses the Next Generation Science Standard HS-LS1-6.
