Investigations in the area of Biochemistry center around the common
themes of bio-organic and bio-inorganic reaction mechanisms, protein-nucleic
acid recognition, nucleic acid structure and dynamics, and membrane
transport. Much of the work is from a fairly detailed chemical perspective
as reflected in the experimental tools employed, among which are organic
synthesis, Xray diffraction, kinetics, and computer graphics and computational
analysis.
