| Bio: |
Dr. Bruice received her A.B. from Mt. Holyoke College and her Ph.D. from the University of Virginia. Before coming to UCSB in 1971, she was a NIH postdoctoral fellow at the U. of Virginia School of Medicine and did postdoctoral work at Yale Medical School. She has been a recipient of the Associated Students Teaching Award (1976), the Academic Senate Distinguished Teaching Award (1979), the Mortar Board Professor of the Year Award (1985, 1993), and the UCSB Alumni Association Teaching Award (2006). |

Current
Research
Although her principal focus is undergraduate instruction, Dr. Bruice also conducts a research program in physical organic chemistry.
Paula Bruice is the author of two texts: "Organic Chemistry" (5th edition) published in 2007 by Prentice Hall, and "Essential Organic Chemistry" published in 2006 by Prentice Hall. She is also the author of the "Study Guide/Solutions Manual" that accompanies each text.
