The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry cordially welcomes Lior Sepunaru, who joined our department as Assistant Professor on July 1, 2017.  Prior to his appointment at UCSB, Lior completed his post-doctoral studies as a Marie Curie research fellow at the University of Oxford working on bio-nanoelectrochemistry under the tutelage of Professor Richard. G. Compton. Before this, he completed his Ph.D. at the Weizmann Institute of Science in 2014 working on solid state bioelectronics under the supervision of Professor David Cahen and Professor Mordechai Sheves. Lior’s research will focus on bioelectronics at the nano scale, including the study of enzyme catalysis and development of new generation of biosensors.
