Bio

I was born and raised in Massachusetts. I played football and lacrosse throughout my youth and in high school, and sailed on Cape Cod in the summers.

2010 - B.S. in Chemistry and B.S. in Physical Sciences from Trinity College (Hartford, CT)

I studied synthetic organic chemistry as an undergraduate student, focusing mainly on the mechanism of cyclization reactions and synthesis of homoconjugated materials.

I study organic photovoltaic devices, focusing on how processing conditions affect the nanoscale morphology and ultimately device performance. This includes making and optimizing devices with new materials, developing ways of controlling structure through solvent choice, thermal processing, etc, and characterizing the films using transmission electron microscopy.
