Financial Support

The majority of PhD students in the UCSB Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry graduate program are financially supported throughout their course of study. Admitted students will receive a competitive stipend. Sources of support include teaching assistantships, graduate student research assistantships and/or fellowships.

Financial support includes the payment of tuition, fees and health insurance. A Graduate Student Summary of Quarterly Fees and Expenses for 2008-09 can be found on the Graduate Division Financial Support website.
