UCSB Chemistry Alumnus elected to National Academy of Engineering

Charles T. Kresge, presently R&D Vice President, Dow Chemical Co., Midland, Mich. has been elected to the National Academy of Engineering for his contributions to the rational design and engineering of mesoporous inorganic materials. Dr. Kresge received his Ph.D. from the Department of Chemistry in 1979 working with Professor Ralph G. Pearson on the acid/base chemistry of transition metal hydrides. NAE Press Release
