Bio

I grew up in Valparaiso, Indiana and did my undergraduate studies at Indiana University-Bloomington. I worked in Professor David Clemmer's research group between August 2006 and May 2009 on developing new instrumentation for Ion Mobility/Mass Spectrometry. I joined Professor Bazan's group in July 2009 and started graduate studies at UCSB in September 2009.

Current Research

I work on narrow band gap conjugated polyelectrolytes and new molecular organic semiconductors. My goal is to functionalize these materials and render them soluble in a wider range of solvents. This may open the door for more environmentally friendly processing in organic semiconductor research.
