There are three
levels of safety training. They also determine your status at OCF.
- Stranger.
You just bring your sample and tell us what to measure. The most boring
(for us) and expensive (for you) way to do the research.
Required safety training:
- Be
kind and polite with OCF staff and other users :).
- Casual
user. You need to use OCF from time to time. You are interested
in performing experiments yourself, but need supervision.
Required safety training:
- UCSB laser safety manual (available online
and at OCF)
- OCF safe operations manual (available online
and at OCF)
- Permanent
user. You are skilled enough to work on your own.
